Day 6 June 21,2007

Today is Thursday June 21, 2007. I am meeting with my group members and discussing what we are going to do about our first group project. I see AJAX as a front end of a web page and it doesn’t require the entire page to reload. Thus this saves bandwidth because the page don’t need refreshed. A static web page would require to be refreshed. this is a very interesting concept of software design. From what I have read the loading of the first time takes the longest. AJAX is a cache pig but once it is loaded it doesn’t need to re-load or refresh the web page. The javascripted web page is divided into tables and the XML is in those tables that go and get information from the server it is on, or other servers. Google Maps and other pages make it accessable for news feeds, sports, etc. AJAX is a real time enviroment in which it might update every 60 seconds, but it doesn’t take up as much bandwidth and a web page reload.
