Our group did a presentation about AJAX. It seems to rather be a better formation of XML which go and gets data asyncronously. Which AJAX is short for Asyncronous Javascript and XML. Google uses this form of Javascript in which the XML is put in tables. It was a very interesting concept to say the least and it did decrease bandwidth. In the previous blogs I wrote about this with a test that I did to see everything behind the scenes that you can’t see on your browser when it refreshes or gets feeds from the server.
Speaking of software I came about this article from DELL.

It seems that customers or users don’t like trialware or “crapware” as they call it. They had certain software programs on DELL laptops. DELL gave the option not to install it on the laptops. If I purchased a laptop and didn’t want certain software, it should have been my option from the beginning. Now in terms of “Quality” I would guess that DELL tried to push this software and maybe they got a cut from a subscriber, who knows?? It is my guess that after this option in the over all software architecture of a DELL laptop that the customer doesn’t want all this unwanted software to clutter or garbage their laptop. Here is a blog from their site posting opinions.
A lot of people are unhappy with DELL lately. Seems as though they expect to have a computer for under 400. (including windows xp) great service, support etc… Something has to give. I don’t blame DELL for cutting corners on the budget desktops. However, they need to cut out the junk on higher end units, for business clients, and for those buying higher level support.
